Wow.

Have you ever heard or said someone tell a woman who is expecting that she is glowing? Have you actually seen it? Its real, just look at the photos below. Katy is absolutely glowing, she is stunning, she totally rocked her maternity shoot, with the help of her husband Cliff, of course.

Cliff and Katy are expecting a little guy this fall!

I met up with Katy and Cliff in Londonderry, New Hampshire at the end of June for their maternity session. I usually suggest waiting until you are at least 30 weeks along so your belly is nice and round. Katy is due in the fall, so the timing was perfect. I often shoot at Mack’s Apples in Londonderry and have been for the past 9 years. It is so diverse there, no matter the season. The colors are so intense and there is a little bit of everything, as you can see in the photos below. I am open to other locations, I do love the beach:) Mack’s is just close to home and I love bringing clients to support local businesses.. Like the ice cream stand and the apples and pumpkins in the fall!

At our session we walked around a bit, talked, changed outfits, talked some more, and worked with all the natural light we had. I had my son Landon with me working the reflector, holding props and extra cameras. In fact, he took a couple amazing photos during our session! He was a huge help, especially with our sunset photos, where he was the source of some of the amazing light we had. Landon is 8 now, he has been working with me since he was born and is my little side kick. He keeps it real for sure and makes friends with everyone.

What do I provide at a maternity session? The session is about an hour long. I allow outfit changes, as you can see below, I don’t limit it and love variation. I present about 30 to 60 final images, in Katy’s case, she got a few more, each one is a different pose, location, light, etc. I present EVERY image in color and black and white. I love color, but black and white is beautiful as well, so I give both. Always. Every client receives all their high resolution images after their session with the rights to print.
