Way back in 2010, at Church Landing in Meredith, New Hampshire I photographed Beth and Sean’s gorgeous summer wedding. They were such babies back then (still are really:)! Now, 7 years later, they have a beautiful family and their story is so much like mine. They adopted a little one and found out they were expecting soon after the adoption.

Beth reached out to me a couple weeks ago to see if I could photograph her immediate family (parents, sisters, etc) at their summer cottage in Rockport, Massachusetts. Everyone was home for just a short time, so she wanted to make sure that time together was captured. We knew it would not be easy with the little ones but we went for it!

We started in their yard at the cottage, we grabbed a few shots then went across the street to the ocean. It was a gorgeous overcast day to start, so we were able to get some great shots! One shot Beth and her sisters wanted was them sitting in this one location looking out at the ocean. They called this location their “Couch” growing up, because of the way the rocks are.

About half way through, Beth’s 18 month old little boy took a tumble and fell and hit his head. Hard, really hard. He got up and had a giant egg on his forehead and a bit of blood. He was a trooper, but needless to say was not really too into the photos:)

We did manage to get all the combinations Beth and Sean had hoped for with a few extras.
